Throughout six months of intense chemotherapy he continued to play and perform in his trademark green combat fatigues, to symbolize his “battle” against cancer. He was preparing to face a marrow transplant when he returned from tour. However, his doctors were astounded to find he had gone into “spontaneous remission” and Mike attributes this to his faith in the healing power of green.
